About the Event

Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River reached unprecedented levels in 2017 and 2019, causing severe flooding and erosion along the shores and wetlands. These high waters costs all of of us, with significant and even catastrophic impacts to shoreline businesses, local tourism, the environment, homes, families, municipalities and emergency responders. While we are all hoping for the best, 2020 flood forecasts for Lake Ontario demand our attention.

This event will feature formal presentations as well as an open forum for elected officials and public Q&A’s. Come learn about Lake Ontario's regulation plan, Plan 2014, as well as best practices in emergency preparedness.
